Keep your personal stuff private. Do not post identifying information in the Internet. Know what information we should and shouldn't put on the internet. Things to consider are dates, personal contact information, locations, names, and when you will be out of town. This can be used by others. The least we could do is be in control of who can and can't have access to that information.
Do not meet someone you have just known online. People can lie online; they can change their characters to harm others. Do not post picture online. The more photos post on the internet the more information about ourselves we give out. Know that when you upload a photo to the internet it is as easy to copy for someone to take your photo and do what they please with it. Also never send an image of yours to someone you have chatted with. Ignore; block those who send you nasty messages and unknown links. Do not respond to hurtful or inappropriate messages. Stop chatting someone and block who made you feel uncomfortable. Online chatting can cause an argument. When we write things the people on the other side can't see our body language, hear the tone we intended and see what kind of mood we are in, etc. also know that often times we are multi-tasking as we read something and often skim through the text, missing part of the meaning.
